Happy Birthday Emma!!

I can't believe Emma is 1!!! It was only one short year ago that we welcomed this special little angel into our lives and family. She is such a blessing and we have truly enjoyed watching her grow and getting to know her.

Emma really loves her blankie!! When you hand it to her she giggles and gives it a big hug.
We celebrated the girls' birthdays this past Saturday with our families. It took Emma a few minutes before she would taste the cupcake but after the first bite it was true love. This is one of the many funny things that she does. When you offer her food she will smell it first and then barely open her mouth so that you can put a small taste in before she will eat it. Birthday Girls. I love that sweet little smile!

Emma is such a delight! She is always full of smiles and laughs. She loves to play with Maggie and works so hard to keep up with her. She is walking like crazy, almost at a run so that she doesn't miss a thing. The other day she watched Maggie climb up in to the rocking chair and rock in it. Before Maggie could get down Emma had climbed up into it and was rocking. The smile on her face was priceless. She was so proud of herself. She has started saying words, I will not say talking because she can say them but doesn't say them at the right times. She can say Mama, Dada, ba-bye (and waves), and uh-oh. She also say ga-ga which we think is her attempt at good girl. She loves music and starts dancing as soon as she hears it. She also loves to play with Mag's baby dolls and she will cradle them and give them bottles, my little mama is so precious. But to be honest her favorite part of the day is bath time. As soon as you get her down from her chair after dinner she makes a be-line for the bathroom and stands waiting for you by the tub. If you don't come in a timely manner she comes back out in to the hall, looks at you and goes back in to the bathroom. You can totally read her face "get your slow butt up and come put me in the tub or I'll do it myself."
All of this to say that Emma is such a joy and we love her so much.
