Our friends Mary Beth and Donald gave birth to their sweet baby boy, Eli, on September 14th. He is so precious! And just as handsome as Charley is beautiful. Mary Beth and Donald (and God) make the most beautiful kids. We are so excited to welcome Eli in to our family (they might as well be family we love them so much) and can't wait to watch him grow. All the girls are happy to have another boy around too. We are going to need less estrogen around here when they all get to be teenagers. Congratulations Mary Beth and Donald!! We are so happy for you! (yes, again I don't have any pictures, promise to get better)
We also spent a week in Pawleys with my parents. We had so much fun hanging out with family, playing on the beach, and riding bikes. Adam and I also got to go out on a date with my dear friend Kristin and her husband Sean. It was so great to be able to hang out with them and catch up with out having to worry about what my girls were getting into (thanks Grandma!).
We did have one incident while we were there. Adam and Mags just got in from a bike ride and he was loading the bikes into the truck so that we could ride on the beach later that day. Mags found this really cool pile of dirt to play in while he was loading the bikes up, turns out that the pile of dirt was not so "cool."In fact it was quite hot since it was a fire ant bed!!!! Adam tried to get to her in time but he was a little too late. Fortunately he was quick on his feet and thought to dunk her in the pool to rinse them off so most of the bites were only on her little feet. She had so many bites on this foot that her foot was swollen. She does have chubby feet but not this chubby. Poor thing!! It took a couple days to stop itching but "Ben" (benadryl) was really good to us and a little Dermaplast to help with itching and burning. A trip to the beach to play in the ocean was also a big help and its healing up now.
We got to keep Charley for a little while one day so that Mary Beth and Donald could take Eli to his doctors appointment. The girls are so cute playing together.

This is a really funny story. It is exactly what it looks like. Mag's is checking Emma's diaper and looks up at me and say "no poopy"! Emma's face says it all "thanks for looking after me sis". I'm not sure if the girls or Adam and I thought this was funnier.
