December Madness

Well needless to say, so far December has been a month of craziness. Starting the month off at full speed, my brother got married on the 2nd. It was a beautiful wedding and could not have been more perfect. The wedding was out on the creek at Dunes West and the ceremony was under the oak trees. Even though it rained a little during the ceremony it was still perfect. We were all crying tears of joy for Jeremy and Sam so God just thought he would join us in our happiness. We had such a great time celebrating in their union with one another and God. And I know that their marriage will be one of joy and laughter. The other bonus was that we got to hang out with all our college friends, which these days it's hard to get us all together unless someone is getting married.

I believe this new dance step is called the "Boogie Brown". For those of you who are a lot hipper than the McKee's feel free to post the correct name of this dance.

On Monday after the wedding we headed back to Charlotte so that we could decorate for Christmas. When left Charleston it was 70 degrees and upon our arrival in Charlotte it was a wind chilling 50 degrees...burr!

On the search for the perfect tree.

After 45 minutes of examining many trees we finally found the special one to bring home.

The final product...
The following weekend was a little more nerve racking than the previous. On Thursday we found out that Adam's dad had an artery that was 90% to 95% blocked and they were putting in a stent immediately. This was a little bit of a surprise to all of us. But we were just thankful that they found the blockage before he had a heart attack. We thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. Adam's dad got to come home the following day and has been recovering well. They are playing the "lets get my meds straighten out game" now but other than that all is well. Praise God!!!!

Our Childbirth classes also started the first weekend of December. So every Saturday from 9am to noon we pack up our pillows and head to the hospital to learn about labor and birth. The first class was natural labor, the second was labor with an epidural, and this coming class is C-sections and the tour of the hospital. The last class is infant CPR. And then it will be Christmas and the traveling insanity will begin as we try and see all of our family before our little one makes her appearance in the world. I can't believe that after Christmas we will only have 4 weeks left; time is flying by. Well I think that is about all that has been going on this month. We can't wait to see everyone over the holidays!!

It sounds like a busy month. I'm glad to see you guys keeping up the tradition of cutting down a tree.
