I won't bore you with a bunch of words about how wonderful our beach vacation was, but it was so wonderful!! The girls had a blast. We would wake each morning, eat breakfast, start getting ready for the beach, come in for naps and go back out until dinner. They could not wait to get their feet in the sand and wrestle with the waves, beach bums just like their mom! I love that we camp at Huntington Beach State Park which is 5 minutes from the house I grew up in so the girls still get to experience the things I love about my home town even though my parents don't live there anymore.
Well here is how we spent our week.

Last year when we were camping we met this sweet family that has two little girls and this year we were so surprised and excited to see them again!

Our first s'mores! Mag's loved them, Em didn't care for the marshmallow but was all about "chocowate and cackers" :)

Cool girls

We spent one morning looking for alligators in the marsh and at the education center.

The girls would have nothing to do with the touching the stingray. Em would get so upset even if I asked her to touch it.

I love their facial expressions when Adam showed them the snake. Mag's "oh my". Em " awh, look at that"

touching a fake snake. That's right yuck!!! and don't ever touch a real one!!!

Both girls talk with their hands…don't have a clue where they get that from ;)

Touching "baby turtles".

Maggie loved flying the kite. She thought she was such a big girl!

oooooh, a jelly fish.
They LLOOOVVVEEE Ice cream! When we told them we were going to take them for ice cream Maggie informed us that she wanted blue ice cream and sure if enough they had blue ice cream. It totally made her day.

And hers too!

Everyone say "ice cream"

The welcoming committee! The girls plopped their chairs by the road and waved to everyone that passed whether they were in a car, walking, riding a bike or a golf cart. It was to precious!

One sassy and one hip hop, Em always puts her hats on backwards… so funny.
