Well September has been full of all kinds of excitement for us. We got to find out that we were having a baby girl, AND we got to hang out with old friends and go climbing. Over Labor Day weekend Adam and I drove up to Richmond to hang with them Ham's and meet the beautiful new addition to their family. Little Riley is so sweet! If you know the Ham's you know that a lot of our quality time was spent over very tasty food prepare by chef Sarah, and adventures planned by Steven. Saturday we packed up and headed into downtown Richmond to Belle Isle and spent the day climbing and chatting. Well, Sarah and I were in charge of getting great shots of Steven and Adam climbing. But we got to hang out with Riley on the side lines which was just as much fun. After a hard day climbing we hiked over to the James River to soak our feet. The best part was Steven body slamming Moe (their beagle) into the river. We were pretty sure by Moe's reaction that he thought he was dying. Then we headed back into town for some yummy homemade ice cream. Needless to say it was so great to see the Ham's and catch up!! Our next weekend followed suit with more excitement. We met up with John for a day of climbing out at Pilot's Mountain. Unfortunately Alison was unable to join us but we hope to meet up with them again for some more climbing fun. It was so good to see John and hear about all their exciting adventures. Alison we hope to see you soon and the "pooch".
John and Adam mastering the wall

A funny story....
On our way to Pilot we realized that in our excitement to see John and climb that we both forgot to do something very important! Brush our teeth!!! So we made a quick stop to purchase a toothbrush and toothpaste and took care of business while driving down 85.

Those are some good looking chicken legs! And I'm sure John appreciated the pit stop.
I'm always posing for a great pit shot. That climb actually owned me. I'll be back though.
